2026 Curriculum Development - Mathematics Y1-10 -Resource Developer Roles
Up to 2 x Full-time (1.0 FTE) (up to 40 hours per week, hours negotiable part-time and full-time considered)
Fixed term: April – December 2026
Based in any Te Kura location: Wellington, Palmerston North, Masterton, New Plymouth, Hastings, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wairoa, Tauranga, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill or Queenstown
We are seeking experienced, passionate educators to support the review and development of high-quality Mathematics learning resources aligned with Te Mātaiaho – the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum. These roles contribute to Te Kura's commitment to future-focused, equitable, and culturally responsive online learning for ākonga across Aotearoa.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
We have fixed-term opportunities for kaimahi to review, refresh, align, and develop Years 1–10 Mathematics online learning modules.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your Mathematics pedagogy, curriculum knowledge, and cultural capability to create engaging, coherent learning experiences for diverse learners in a distance learning environment.

Ko koe tēnei | About you
You will be a Registered kaiako (teacher) with a current teacher's practicing certificate.
- Recent teaching experience in New Zealand schools
- Strong understanding of the Mathematics and Statistics learning area across Years 1–10
- Familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum Refresh (NZCR / Te Mātaiaho), including the integration of mātauranga Māori, literacy, numeracy, and key capabilities
- The ability to design engaging, inclusive, and pedagogically sound Mathematics learning resources that are clear, accessible, and responsive to the diverse needs of ākonga in an online and distance learning context
