Call for 2026 Curriculum Development Proof Reviewers
1 – 2 roles
Part-time (0.5 FTE) (up to 20 hours per week, hours negotiable)
Fixed term: April – December 2026
Based in any Te Kura location: Wellington, Palmerston North, Masterton, New Plymouth, Hastings, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wairoa, Tauranga, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill or Queenstown
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position
We are seeking 1-2 experienced kaimahi to join our 2026 Curriculum Development team as part-time, fixed-term Proof Reviewers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance of Y1–10 learning resources across a range of Learning Areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and provide feedback on learning modules in development with Creative Services.
- Ensure alignment with Te Kura's style and content guidelines, including visibility of mana ōrite mō te mātauranga Māori, and integration of literacy and numeracy.
- Assess content for clarity, coherence, and scaffolding of fundamental knowledge and skills.
- Evaluate activities that support learner agency and confidence.
- Document edits and recommendations clearly and promptly.
- Collaborate with project teams throughout the development process.
- Attend workshops for training and collaboration.
- Critique content prior to online publication.

Ko koe tēnei | About you
Registered kaiako (teacher) with a current teacher's practicing certificate.
You have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the National Curriculum refresh and Te Ara Pounamu. You're comfortable using online tools, committed to meeting deadlines, and ideally have experience as a Resource Developer at Te Kura.
